Chasing 184 Pakistan’s Rizwan was caught out by Moeen Ali in the First over. Fakhar and Babar recovered well but Pakistan fell short by 23 runs.
In the 2nd T20I between England and Pakistan, Pakistan fell short by 23 runs chasing 184. Pakistan were all out for 160 despite Fakhar’s 45 and Babar Azam’s 32. No other batsman stayed for too long.
Pakistan won the toss at Edgbaston today and elected to bowl first keeping in mind the clouds ahead. Phill Salt went to the pavilion early by Imad’s tight bowling. But captain Buttler stole the show today with his quick 84 on 51 balls.
Will Jacks and Jonny Bairstow also played a crucial hand scoring 37 and 21 runs respectively. From Pakistan Shaheen and Imad were the stand-out bowlers with the figure of 36/3 and 19/2 respectively in their quota of overs. Shadab went expensive today conceding 55 in his 4 overs.
Pakistan in reply was miserable with Rizwan going early in the peace off Moeen Ali’s length delivery. Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam recovered well with a partnership of 53. But after Babar’s dismissal off Moeen Ali wickets kept tumbling from the other end and Pakistan fell short by 23 runs.
