In the IPL 2024 final, Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets to win their third Indian Premier League championship. Even though Pat Cummins removed Sunil Narine in the second over, KKR made light work of chasing a paltry 114 runs, scoring 72 runs during the powerplay. This season’s second fifty was scored by Venkatesh Iyer during the playoffs.

In the IPL 2024 final, the Sunrisers Hyderabad top order was restricted to 113 runs by the Kolkata Knight Riders pacers, who proved to be too strong for them. In the opening over of the match, Mitchell Starc got rid of Abhishek Sharma. In the meanwhile, Vaibhav Arora defeated Travis Head in the following over. After Harshit Rana struck in his opening over to break Nitish Kumar Reddy, Starc struck once more to dismiss Rahul Tripathi.
