Pak women were in the England series where they failed to win even a single match. This could possibly get them out of the direct race of World Cup qualification.

 

Pakistan women’s cricket team lost the third and final match of the England series by 178 runs. The match was played yesterday at Chelmsford and this could potentially get them out of the World Cup through direct qualification.

 

The women’s team has now played all of their championship matches and are stranded at 17 points. With West Indies and Sri Lanka playing a 3-match series next month they have 14 points each. With one of them winning two matches will go ahead of Pakistan.

Third ODI vs. England

While chasing a 303-run goal, the Pakistan Women’s team was bowled out for 124 runs. Pakistan’s two standout performers were Aliya Riaz (36), and Muneeba Ali (47).

 

Sophie Ecclestone, one of the English bowlers that shone, claimed three wickets for a mere 15 runs. Nat Sciver-Brunt grabbed two wickets, while Lauren Bell claimed two. Each of Charlie Dean and Kate Cross claimed a wicket.

 

Sciver-Brunt produced an incredible 124 runs off 117 balls with 14 fours and two sixes earlier in the innings, helping England to 302 runs at the expense of five wickets.

 

With scores of 44 (42), 39 (42), and 33 (33) respectively, Danni Wyatt, Alice Capsey, and Maia Boucier supported Sciver-Brunt.

 

Diana Baig, Nida Dar, and Fatima Sana each claimed one wicket, while Umm-e-Hani claimed two.

 

Recall that Pakistan lost the opening One-Day International (ODI) of the series by 37 runs, while the rain called off the second ODI after just 6.5 overs. Additionally, they lost the T20I series 3-0.
