England Men’s Test Squad has been announced for the Windies series.

A 14-person England Men’s Test Squad has been selected for the first two Test matches against the West Indies, starting on July 10 2024 at Lords.

Three Uncapped players have been announced in the England Men’s Test Squad for the West Indies’ first two test matches. The series consists of three games.

England Men’s Test Squad

James Anderson (First Test only)

Gus Atkinson

Shoaib Bashir

Harry Brook

Zak Crawley

Ben Duckett

Dan Lawrence

Dillon Pennington

Ollie Pope

Matthew Potts

At this level, two players have been chosen for the first time: Surrey hitter Jamie Smith and Nottinghamshire seamer Dillon Pennington, who is also a wicketkeeper. Both have performed exceptionally in Division One of the Vitality County Championship this season. The only other player without a cap is Gus Atkinson, a seamer for Surrey. He was included in the team for the earlier this year India Test trip.

Giving his views on the England Men’s Test Squad, ECB Managing Director for England Men’s Cricket, Rob Key, said:

“The first Test of the summer is always a special moment, but it will be extra poignant with it being Jimmy’s last Test before he retires. He has given everything to the sport since his Test debut in 2003. We all would like to wish him well as he walks out at Lord’s for the last time for England.”

“We are looking forward to getting the season underway against a strong West Indies side in what will be an excellent Test series.”
