Pakistan Cricket Board on Tuesday finalized the budget for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in consultation with the International Cricket Board.
PCB Chief Financial Officer Javed Murtaza and ICC Chief Financial Officer Ankur Khanna led the budget preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is scheduled to take place in Pakistan in February. The International Cricket Council’s (ICC) annual meetings are scheduled to begin on July 19 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, with a primary focus on the budget. Salman Naseer, the CEO of PCB, and Chairman Mohsin Naqvi will represent Pakistan at these sessions. They will leave for Colombo today July 18th as scheduled.
According to sources, these talks are scheduled for July 22, when the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 budget is expected to be approved.
The budget is the only agenda for approval on July 22. It was carefully prepared in cooperation with the PCB and ICC. That day is not scheduled for any other financial formulas, such as the hybrid model or discussions about supplemental or emergency budgets.
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be hosted by Pakistan from February 19 to March 9. Pitch and ground preparation is underway, in adherence to ICC Curator Andy Atkinson’s requirements.
In October, an ICC mission is anticipated to visit Pakistan to assess the arrangements for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Three delegations have come to Pakistan thus far to evaluate the tournament arrangements.
