Players like Travis Head, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Mitchell Marsh, and Josh Hazlewood are likely to miss the T20I series against Pakistan.
To be ready for the highly anticipated Test series against India at home, Australia’s all-format players may skip the November 2024 T20I series against Pakistan, according to ESPNCricinfo.
From November 4 to 18, Australia will play 6 white-ball matches, 3 ODIs, and a 3-match T20I series against Pakistan.
On November 4, a three-match ODI series will kick off the tour. Three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), slated for November 14–18, will come after the ODIs.
Due to the Pakistan T20Is’ proximity to the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, a few players who participate in several formats may not be included in Australia’s squad when the Test series begins on November 22.
According to reports, the multi-format players will have the best facilities for getting ready for the five-Test series, which begins on October 8 with the Sheffield Shield.
They will get three First-Class matches to hone their skills in preparation for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, even if they are rested for the first round.
