The England Test team Captain and the co-founder of Bazball Ben Stokes injured his hamstring once again in the Hundred League.
Ben Stokes, the England Test Captain faced severe injury problems last summer. The problem was not only wasting his cricket but also restricting himself as a batsman only. He has been consistently on the field for England for 22 tests. As he is the Captain and the main member of Bazball, he is also an all-rounder. His capabilities with both bat and ball give England the option to choose an extra player according to conditions.
However, an apparent hamstring strain in the same left leg has accomplished what the knee troubles could not. Ben Stokes will almost surely miss England’s next Test series at home against Sri Lanka, and the soft tissue injury creates a worrying new scenario for Brendon McCullum’s team ahead of next year’s Ashes tour.
Ben Stokes, who underwent extensive knee surgery at the close of last year and then gradually returned to the bowling crease with his former verve, was attempting to position himself as a man for all seasons in Australia in 2025-26.
However, after being called into a quick single during a rare game in The Hundred for the Northern Superchargers in Manchester, Ben Stokes drew up forcefully and tumbled to the ground, punching his thigh in disgust.
He was subsequently carried off the field on a stretcher and used crutches at the end of the game to shake hands with opponents and teammates.
