Earlier the PCB announced that the second test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh would be played behind closed doors in Karachi due to the renovation.
The PCB officials have said that the dust from the renovation work could affect the players’ health at the National Bank Cricket Arena. So on Sunday, the PCB announced that the second test match would be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium contrasting the earlier decision.
Furthermore, ticket sales for the second test match were also suspended, saying that the fans who bought the tickets would get a full refund. The statement regarding the ticket has not been out yet. But the fans can now purchase tickets to watch the live action in Pindi.
The Bangladesh A tour will go according to the schedule. The first match ended in a draw as the bad weather in Islamabad interrupted for two consecutive days.
Statement from the PCB, “Given that construction must continue uninterrupted to ensure the venue is operationally ready for the Champions Trophy 2025, the PCB, after consulting all stakeholders and reviewing operational and logistical matters, has decided to hold both Tests in Rawalpindi.”
