Bangladesh has won the second test match by six wickets beating Pakistan for the first time in a series in their Home ground. Pak is out of the WTC Final’s race.
Pakistan hoped to prevent a whitewash on Tuesday, as Bangladesh appeared to earn their first Test series victory over Pakistan by winning the second Test at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Bangladesh started their innings at 42-0 on the fifth day. Zakir Ul Hasan went early and bowled on an outswinger by Mir Hamza. Captain Shanto and Mominul Haque provided a solid partnership.
Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mominul Haque were dismissed for 38 and 34 runs, respectively, allowing seasoned batsmen Mushfiqur Rehman and Shakib Al Hasan to chase down an additional 53 runs to complete the mark of 185.
Pakistan is yet to win a test match on their home soil. Meanwhile, Bangladesh has further strengthened its case for the WTC final.
