Babar Azam to be sacked again? Rizwan to become the skipper.

The Pakistan Cricket Board had made Babar Azam the captain of the Pakistan team till the Champions Trophy 2025. But should he be removed as a captain now?

Basit Ali, a former Pakistan cricketer, believes Mohammad Rizwan to succeed Babar Azam as the Men in Green’s captain. Babar’s tenure as white-ball captain may be coming to an end. Recently, reports have surfaced suggesting that Rizwan is the leading candidate for succeeding Babar. Fans and former Pakistan cricketers have had various reactions to the reports. Basit supported Rizwan to lead the Pakistan squad after watching him skipper Markhors against Stallions in the Champions One-Day Cup.

He emphasized Rizwan’s ability to assess the character of the pitch, which both Babar and Test skipper Shan Masood lack.

“Rizwan’s team leadership demonstrated that he is the best captain available. He has demonstrated it through his captaincy. He read the pitch; it was a big deal. That is something even Babar Azam cannot do. I’m not even talking about Shan. If you do not designate him as captain now, Pakistan will suffer a loss. “This is the best time to make Rizwan captain,” Basit stated on his YouTube channel.

After putting a low total in Sunday’s encounter, Muhammad Rizwan led his team to a bonus margin victory of our 130 runs. Babar Azam scored 45 runs off 45 balls.
