Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s scorching century, along with Rashid Khan’s five-wicket haul, helped Afghanistan overcome South Africa by 177 runs in the second ODI of the three-match series on Friday in Sharjah.
Gurbaz scored 105 as Afghanistan reached 311-4 before the Proteas lost nine wickets for 61 runs, being bowled out for 134 in the 35th over. Afghanistan made a strong start two days after winning the first one-day international by six wickets, with the openers capitalizing on winning the toss.
Afghanistan now leads the three-match series 2-0.
