It is because if India participates, they will play all of their matches in Lahore.
Telegraph.co.uk published that the PCB has decided to hold the final at the Gaddafi Stadium, with matches also scheduled for Karachi’s National Stadium and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The Champions Trophy will run from February 19 to March 9, with the highly anticipated India-Pakistan match scheduled for March 1st.
India has not divulged its travel plans, putting Pakistan on the back foot. The Men in Blue have not played in Pakistan since 2008 owing to political reasons.
However, Mohsin Naqvi believes India would travel to Pakistan for the ICC event. India claims it will travel to Pakistan. “I see no reason for India to postpone or cancel its visit to Pakistan, “All teams, including India, will come to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025,” Mohsin Naqvi stated.
