PCB’s Successful Proposal and Preparations

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) submitted the proposed schedule for the Champions Trophy in Pakistan to the ICC several weeks ago. With the ICC’s approval now secured, the PCB is set to share the finalized schedule with other cricket boards next week. This step is crucial for coordinating with participating teams and finalizing logistical arrangements.

PCB officials are optimistic about the Indian team’s participation in the Champions Trophy in Pakistan. “We are delighted with the ICC’s approval of our proposed schedule. This is a major step forward in our preparations for the Champions Trophy in Pakistan. We are hopeful about the participation of all teams, including India, and are committed to delivering a successful and memorable tournament,” a PCB official stated.

Anticipated Matches and Teams’ Participation

Sources have revealed that all matches involving the Indian cricket team are expected to be held in Lahore, including the much-anticipated final. According to the proposed schedule, matches featuring the Indian team will be held in Lahore, and the final will also take place there. While there has been no confirmation yet on India’s participation, teams from other countries have previously played in Pakistan, which boosts optimism for the Champions Trophy in Pakistan.

Coordination with Other Cricket Boards

The ICC reviewed the schedule in detail and will now send it to the other participating countries: Australia, England, India, South Africa, Bangladesh, New Zealand, and Afghanistan. This coordination is essential for ensuring that all logistical arrangements are in place for the Champions Trophy in Pakistan.
