The ICC announced the Team of the Tournament for the T20 World Cup 2024 as Rohit is selected to be the skipper of that Squad featuring six Indians.
A total of 4 Nations have combined to form the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Team of the Tournament. A total of six Indians are there including the Skipper, Rohit Sharma. Three of the Afghanistan players have also been included in it.
Twelve players, representing four teams, were selected for the tournament squad. In addition to Rohit Sharma, the other Indians on the squad were Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Hardik Pandya, and Axar Patel.
Three of Afghanistan’s players have been chosen for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 squad, following their remarkable run to the semi-finals. Commentators Kass Naidoo, Ian Bishop, Wasim Khan, the general manager of cricket at the ICC, and Harsha Bhogle were on the selection panel.
The team chose Rohit Sharma as their captain, the man who led India to their second T20 World Cup title. With 257 runs in eight innings, Sharma became the tournament’s second-highest run scorer. His two most notable performances were in the semi-finals against the same team, when he struck for 92 runs against Australia and then made a vital 57.
