Australia defeated Bangladesh by 28 runs (DLS method) in a T20 World Cup 2024 Super-8 match in Antigua, thanks to an undefeated half-century from David Warner and a hat-trick from Pat Cummins.
Rain stopped play for the third time while Warner was chasing 141 and was undefeated at 53. Australia was declared the victor using the DLS system since they were 28 runs ahead of par in their first match of the Super-8 at the T20 World Cup 2024.
Earlier, Pat Cummins’ late three-wicket burst helped Australia limit Bangladesh to 140/8. The Australian test Captain Patt Cummins said in the post-match Conference that he was unaware of the hat trick at that time but still managed to take the wicket.
Patt Cummins became only the second Australian bowler after the great Bret Lee to take a hat-trick in a T20 Match.
