Australia defeated Scotland by five wickets on Sunday in St Lucia during their T20 World Cup 2024 Group B encounter. Marcus Stoinis and Travis Head were the main organizers of this victory.
Australia lost two wickets early in their 181 chase, but Head and Stoinis’s explosive combination forced the 2021 winners to reconsider. On 29 balls, Stoinis scored 59, while on 49 balls, Head scored 68. Safyaan Sharif took two wickets apiece for Scotland, along with Mark Watt.
Because England had a higher net run rate than Scotland, they advanced to the Super 8s and eliminated Scotland from the T20 World Cup 2024.
Australia had already qualified for the super 8 of the T20 World Cup 2024 and with that victory over Scotland, they have now finished the round-robin stage as the table toppers of Group B. England after losing the 1 game and a tried game against Scotland, recovered well by winning the last two games with a great margin.
