Sri Lanka faces a 20-run defeat by the Netherlands in the warm-up game of the T20 World Cup 2024. The match was played yesterday at the ground in Lauderhill, Florida.
At the T20 World Cup 2024 warm-up game, the Netherlands batted first to score a total of 182. Sri Lanka, in the chase, was dismissed for 161 runs in 18.5 overs.
The Sri Lanka captain won the toss and invited the Netherlands to bat first, which they took full advantage of. Dasun Shanaka made an unbeaten 35 off 20, and Dhananjaya de Silva’s 31 off 22 were in vain, as they couldn’t stop the Netherlands from coming on top. Captain Vanidu Hasaranga scored a blistering 43 off 15 balls.
There is one more warm-up game left for both teams in the T20 World Cup 2024.
