Faheem Ashraf’s All-Round Brilliance Powers Quetta to PSL 2025 Final

Quetta Gladiators stormed into the PSL 2025 final in style. They defeated Islamabad United by 30 runs in the first qualifier at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Faheem Ashraf’s all-round performance turned the game in Quetta’s favor. Quetta won the toss and chose to bat first. The decision paid off well as they posted a massive total of 209/6.

Faheem Ashraf’s Explosive Knock Sets the Stage

Faheem Ashraf came to bat during a crucial phase. He smashed 45 runs off just 23 balls. His aggressive strokeplay lifted Quetta past the 200-run mark. Along with Dinesh Chandimal’s unbeaten 48 and Finn Allen’s quick 41, Quetta finished strong. The trio ensured Islamabad bowlers remained under pressure throughout the innings. Their fearless approach set the tone for the rest of the match.

Islamabad United’s Chase Starts Positively but Fades

Islamabad United started their chase with intent. Sahibzada Farhan played a classy knock, scoring 52 off 35 balls. Salman Ali Agha also fought hard, scoring 44 off 26. However, wickets kept falling at regular intervals. Rassie van der Dussen contributed 35 runs but couldn’t stay till the end.

Faheem Strikes Again with the Ball

Faheem Ashraf wasn’t done yet. He returned with the ball and removed two key batters. His wickets of Alex Hales and Jimmy Neesham came at a perfect time. These breakthroughs derailed Islamabad’s chase. Faheem finished with 2/33 in his 3 overs.

Usman Tariq was the pick of the bowlers for Quetta. He took 3 wickets for 32 runs in 4 overs. One of his key wickets was Agha Salman, who was looking dangerous at the death. His dismissal crushed Islamabad’s remaining hopes. Despite late efforts, they were bowled out for 179 in 19.4 overs. Muhammad Amir also picked two wickets.

Quetta Gladiators sealed their spot in the PSL 2025 final with this crucial win. Faheem Ashraf’s heroic knock and timely wickets proved decisive. His all-round performance lifted the team when it mattered most and turned the game in Quetta’s favor.
