Islamabad United Crushed Karachi Kings to Stay Unbeaten in PSL 10
Islamabad United continued their dominant run in PSL 10 with a clinical six-wicket win over Karachi Kings, securing their fourth victory in as many games. Led by a brilliant all-round performance from captain Shadab Khan, the defending champions chased down 129 with ease. IU remains the only unbeaten team in the tournament so far.
Shadab Khan Leads from the Front
Winning the toss, Islamabad United opted to bowl first under challenging conditions. Shadab Khan’s decision proved spot on as he starred with the ball, picking up 2 wickets for just 17 runs in his four overs. His sharp spin and disciplined line tied down the Karachi Kings during the middle overs.
Later, with the bat, the skipper led the charge once again. Chasing a modest total, Shadab scored a composed 47 off 40 balls, guiding his team home with 17 balls to spare. For his all-round brilliance, he was rightly named Player of the Match.
Karachi Kings Struggle in Tough Conditions
Batting first, Karachi Kings managed only 128/7 in their 20 overs. Captain David Warner admitted during the post-match presentation that they were short of runs and struggled with the difficult batting conditions early on.
Tim Seifert top-scored with 30 off 37, but the innings never gained momentum. Abbas Afridi’s late cameo—24 off just 9 balls—was the only highlight in an otherwise underwhelming batting display.Warner did, however, praise Hasan Ali for his excellent opening spell. He picked up 2/28 and kept things tight during the powerplay.
Islamabad United Continue Dream Start
With this win, Islamabad United now sit firmly at the top of the PSL 10 points table. Their fourth straight win reinforces their tag as tournament favorites. Their depth in both batting and bowling has allowed them to cruise through games. Under Shadab Khan’s leadership, the team looks balanced and confident.
As the PSL progresses, all eyes will remain on Islamabad United, the defending champions. IU are looking increasingly unstoppable in their pursuit of back-to-back titles.
