USA pulled off another upset against the Bangladeshi tigers to win their maiden T20I series in Houston.
The team playing very first time with a test-playing nation sealed a series win by winning the second T20I with a six-run margin.
The match played at Prairie View Cricket Complex in Houston saw a thriller with USA bowlers made bowling look so easy by bowling 90% bowls as Yorkers. This incredible performance made them able to win the series by 2-0 with one match still to go.
Bangladeshi batters naturally reared on the slow turners of the subcontinent, were undone by playing against the USA on foreign surfaces. The Bangladeshi batsmen put up a strong showing with the ball, but it proved to be just another dismal day as they failed to convert opportunities while facing the willow.
In the wake of a disciplined bowling effort, Bangladesh’s batters failed to establish their groove while chasing a manageable goal of 144 on a surface that appeared to be benign.
All of the other hitters in the Bangladesh dugout failed to live up to the expectations, except skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto, ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, and the highly effective Towhid Hridoy.
