ICC Champions trophy 2025: Schedule to be announced next week.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will start from February 19 and the final will be played in Lahore on 9th of March. The proposed schedule is out now.

The much anticipated schedule for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which will be hosted by Pakistan, is due to be published next week, according to sources. An International Cricket Council (ICC) committee will visit Lahore from November 10 to 12 to inspect the eight-team tournament preparations. During this visit, the ICC is expected to reveal the official schedule, which is a key milestone as Pakistan prepares to host a major ICC event for the first time in many years.

According to sources, the schedule has already been given with the competing teams, and the competition will run from February 19 to March 9, with a reserve day on March 10. The ICC Champions Trophy will include top cricketing nations divided into two groups. Pakistan has been drawn in Group A alongside India, Bangladesh, and New Zealand. Group B will consist of England, South Africa, Australia, and Afghanistan. The event promises to produce fascinating clashes, with fans looking forward to the meeting between archrivals Pakistan and India on March 1 in Lahore.

The ICC Champions Trophy will be hosted in Pakistan’s three major cities: Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. Lahore’s renowned stadium will host the most games, including the championship final on March 9. Karachi’s National Bank Stadium will host the tournament’s opening encounter between Pakistan and New Zealand on February 19, as well as one of the semi-finals on March 5. Rawalpindi will host five matches, including the second semi-final on March 6.

According to the scheduled match schedule, significant matchups include Pakistan’s clash with Bangladesh in Rawalpindi on February 24 and England’s match against Australia in Lahore on February 22. The semi-finals are set on March 5 in Karachi and March 6 in Rawalpindi, culminating in the grand final.

However, India’s participation is doubtful as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) seeks government sanction for the team’s participation in the Pakistan-hosted competition. The thought of an Indo-Pak showdown has sparked enthusiasm among fans all across the world, adding another element of expectation.

As Pakistan prepares to host the ICC Champions Trophy, the country hopes to demonstrate its hospitality and enthusiasm for cricket. This historic tournament will be a critical step toward re-establishing Pakistan as a premier international cricket destination, providing a stage for spectacular action and memorable moments for cricket fans.
