India vs. Pakistan game is always the highly awaited and anticipated game at any mega event. But more so in cricket because of the ban on bilateral series between the two countries.
It’s over 12 years now since India and Pakistan last played a bilateral series. The last series was played in India where Pakistan won 2-1. Since then due to the political tensions both the teams only play against each other in the Mega events which makes this game the most awaited.
In this t20 world cup 2024, arc-rivals are facing on the 9th of June in New York. However, the excitements are hurdled by some controversies as the ticket prices are at a time high. The ticket for Diamond Club is selling at a soaring price of $20000.
“It was a shock to know that ICC Diamond Club tickets for the World Cup match between Pakistan and India were being sold for up to $20,000 per seat,” Modi wrote. “This World Cup in the US is supposed to promote the game and attract fans, not to earn profit from ticket money.”
Modi accused the ICC of profiteering at the expense of fans, branding it a “council of crooks” on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Lalit Kumar Modi is the founder of the Indian Premier League. His criticism gained a lot of attraction and appraisal from the fans as they waited the whole year for this only clash. And these soaring prices raise a lot of concerns over the intentions of the ICC.
