The Asian Cricket Council is ready to appoint a new President for the tenure of 2025-2027. The PCB Chairman is assumed as the next ACC President.
According to the news coming out, Mohsin Naqvi will take charge in January 2025 as he will be handling 3 roles at that time.
Mohsin Naqvi is also the interior minister of Pakistan and the senator with the PCB Chairmanship role. If Mohsin Naqvi handles the ACC office starting from January 2025, it will be a huge achievement for Pakistan.
Currently, BCCI secretary Jay Shah is in charge. His tenure was supposed to end last year but he was given a one-year extension.
The appointment of Mohsin Naqvi will be announced around October or November this year. The Asian Cricket Council’s (ACC) presidency is decided on the rotation policy among the members of the ACC.
