The New Central Contracts for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will be unveiled soon, and major adjustments are anticipated in all player categories.
Fast bowler Naseem Shah is reportedly in line for a promotion to a Category A contract, which would be commensurate with his increasing stature and output. On the other hand, Shadab Khan, who has been finding it difficult to keep his form, might be demoted.
The PCB has wrapped up lengthy discussions with Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie, among other selections and coaching staff. Performance and fitness have been highlighted in these talks as important requirements for contract renewals.
The PCB has guaranteed that pay will not alter in the New Central contracts even if some players receive downgrades. At the moment, Category A contracts are held by Muhammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, and Babar Azam.
