Sir Richie Richardson, a well-known international cricketer and member of the ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, has been named to oversee the match control teams for England’s highly anticipated ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 clash with hosts Pakistan. The three-match Test series will take held in Multan and Rawalpindi, Pakistan, from October 7 to October 28, 2024.
The Pak vs Eng Tests will begin with the first match, which will be played at Multan Cricket Stadium from October 7 to 11. Following this, the second Test will be place at the same location from October 15 to 19. The Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host the third and final Test on October 24.
Kumar Dharmasena of Sri Lanka and Sharfuddoula Saikat of Bangladesh, both members of the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires, will serve as on-field umpires for the inaugural test. The third umpire will be Christopher Gaffaney of New Zealand, while the fourth will be Asif Yaqoob of Pakistan, who is a member of the ICC International Panel of Umpires.
Kumar Dharmasena and Christopher Gaffaney will be the on-field umpires for the second Test, with Sharfuddoula Saikat serving as the third umpire. The fourth umpire will be Rashid Riaz of Pakistan, who is also a member of the ICC International Panel.
Christopher Gaffaney and Sharfuddoula Saikat will officiate the third Test at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, with Kumar Dharmasena serving as the third umpire. Faisal Aafreedi, another member of the ICC International Panel of Umpires, will be the fourth umpire.
The Pak vs Eng Tests will play a vital role in England’s WTC campaign while Pakistan will only hope for miracles even if they win all their remaining fixtures.
