South African champions chase down 210 in 19 overs to beat the unbeaten Pakistan Champions in the World Championship of Legends 2024.
Pakistan and Australia are already in the semifinals of the World Champions League 2024. However, India, South Africa, and West Indies are still fighting for the 2 spots in the Semifinals. KP lead England Champions are out of the tournament.
Pakistan champions gave the target of 210 to the South African Champions which they chased with ease in just 19 overs and with only one wicket falling. Pakistan was asked to bat first by South Africa and scored a respectable 210/4. Sharjeel Khan opened the innings with a brilliant 72 off 36 balls, including seven fours and six sixes, after Kamran Akmal was dismissed early for 13.
In an 85-run partnership, Sohaib Maqsood (24) provided support. With late contributions from Abdul Razzaq (25 off 15 balls) and Shoaib Malik (51 off 26 balls), Pakistan passed the 200-run mark. Shahid Afridi’s rapid 20 off 10 balls provided momentum.
As a result, South Africa lost JP Duminy early on but quickly turned things around thanks to centuries from Sarel Erwee (105 off 57 balls) and Jacques Snyman (82 off 47 balls). Their collaboration was essential as South Africa easily pursued the goal.
