Pak Shaheens Lost the semifnals in Top End T20

Pakistan Shaheens were at the top of the table with 10 points. Adelaide Strikers 198 turned out to be a massive task for Muhammad Haris and company.

Pakistan Shaheens were impressive throughout the tournament with only a single defeat. They were the table toppers.

Chasing the mark, the Shaheens suffered an early setback, losing four wickets in the powerplay, with Sahibzada Farhan, captain Mohammad Haris, Omair bin Yousuf, and Mohammad Irfan Khan all returning to the pavilion without scoring a good knock. Only Muhammad Haris crossed the double-figure mark.

Usman Khan (32 off 20) and Mubasir Khan (18 off 12) gave some key runs for the struggling Pakistani side, but both lost their wickets, and the Pakistan Shaheens were soon 96-7 after 11.1 overs.

Mohammad Abbas Afridi hit a stunning half-century of 54 off 29 balls, including five fours and three sixes, but the Green Shirts were all out for 167 runs in 18.1 overs.

For the Strikers, Liam Scott took three wickets, Jordan Buckingham and Lloyd Pope took two, while Tim Oakley, Tom O Connell, and Noah McFadyen each took one.

Earlier in the first innings, after being invited to bat first, the Strikers suffered early setbacks as their top-order hitters Harry Matthias, Connell, and Scott lost wickets.

However, Jake Winter’s powerful 104-run innings helped the Strikers reach an enormous total. Down the order, Harry Manenti scored 52 runs off 32 balls, including 10 boundaries.

For the Shaheens, Abbas Afridi took three wickets, while Faisal Akram took two.

On the Other side, the first match between Bangladesh A and Pakistan Shaheens ended in a draw.
