PCB is going to schedule a Champions Cup. The PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi alongside Waqar Younis interacted with the media earlier on Monday.
The Champions Cup will be played in all three formats. The PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi alongside his Chief Advisor Waqar Younis and the director of PCB, interacted with the media earlier.
Naqvi said: “After discussions and lots of focus, we have decided not to change the Domestic Cricket System in Pakistan. It’s not good to change the system in every tenure but we are making an addition in the system by adding Champions Cup.”
“The Champions Cup will feature 5 teams. Each team will contain 30 players and a former legend will lead one team.” He added.
“I will include this tournament in the law and it will not be easy to change this law. This tournament will happen every year in Pakistan where we will polish the cream of Pakistan Cricket.” Naqvi replied to a media person on a question asked about the extinction of JPL (Junior Premier League).
The Champions Cup aims to fill the gap between international cricket and Domestic Cricket. The coaching staff and the legends leading the teams will be finalized within a week.
