Waqar Younis the former Pakistan Captain and Head Coach is set to leave the PCB advisory role as he wants to mentor one of the teams in the Champions Cup.

 

According to the sources in PCB, Waqar Younis has already submitted his application to the PCB. He will be appointed as the mentor of one of the teams in the Champions Cup.

 

A few days ago the PCB Chairman and Waqar Younis interacted with media at the NCA and announced a new tournament named Champions Cup, featuring 5 teams. Each team will consist of 30 players and all under one mentor.

Waqar Younis taking the exit route is not new in his coaching and management career. His decision also reflects the position of PCB at this moment. Pakistan Cricket Team has also lost to Bangladesh on Sunday for the first time in Test Cricket’s history.
