Despite the odds, in the recently ICC announced Test and T20i Rankings, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam improved his test rankings but slipped in T20i.
The International Cricket Council ICC announced Test and T20i Rankings after the England vs WI and Sri Lanka vs India series. The New rankings have seen some significant changes with Joe Root topping the Test rankings dismissing New Zealand’s Kane Williamson.
ICC Test Rankings
According to the ICC announced Test rankings, Babar Azam has moved up one spot to take third place in the Test rankings, with Daryl Mitchell of New Zealand coming in fourth. Rohit Sharma and Steve Smith have both fallen to fifth and sixth place, respectively.
In the ICC announced Test bowling rankings, India’s premier Off Spinner Ashwin is still on the top with Australia’s Hazlewood at the second spot. India’s World Cup sensation Jasprit Bumrah is in third.
ICC T20i Rankings
In the ICC T20i rankings, Australia’s Travis Head is still sitting at the top with Surya Kumar Yadav the new Indian T20i captain behind him.
Pakistan Captain Babar Azam has declined one spot and is now on 5th in the overall ICC announced T20i rankings. England’s Phil Salt is in the third spot with India’s Jaiswal behind him. Pakistan’s Muhammad Rizwan is in the sixth position.
