WTC Final: The Lord’s Cricket Ground will host the final for the first time leaving behind Southampton and the Oval.
The WTC Final will played from the 11th to 15th of June 2025. 16th of June has been declared as the reserve day for the final. This will be the first time the Lords Cricket Ground will be hosting the World Test Championship final.
Southampton hosted the first WTC Final in 2021. The Oval hosted the second WTC Final in 2023. Now it is time for the most famous venue to host the World Test Championship final, The Lords Cricket Ground.
The New Zealand Cricket team won the first WTC Final beating India in 2021. The Aussies became the second team to win the WTC title in 2023. They had also beaten India by a fair margin.
The points table now suggests the same story as it was in the first two editions. Rohit Sharma led India to the top with the Aussies the defending Champion in the second spot.
With Bangladesh thrashing Pakistan in Rawalpindi, the WTC Final is on for almost 7 teams including England, South Africa, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka.
